The Exhibition
This project was part of the exhibition “Transbordar o mundo: os olhares de Tarsila do Amaral” (Overflowing the world: the gazes of Tarsila do Amaral in a free translation), an unprecedented display of 63 of her most renowned works of art at Tribunal de Contas da União (TCU) in Brasília, Brazil, from February 11 to May 10, 2026.
Tarsila do Amaral (1886–1973) is a central figure in Brazilian Modernism, famously known for the Anthropophagic movement, which redefined the country’s visual identity by blending European avant-garde with authentic Brazilian themes.

Production & Objectives
In collaboration with ARKx, supervised by Paola Montenegro (Tarsila’s great-niece) and the social scientist Juliana Miraldi, seven of Tarsila’s masterpieces were selected to be represented in a continuous immersive experience of 7 minutes long.
Responsabilities included environment modeling, texturing, lookdev, technical and art direction assistance for the digital reconstruction of her iconic paintings into immersive 3D environments, ensuring the artistic essence of her work was maintained in a spatialized and continuous format.
Impact
The exhibition received nationwide media coverage, from CNN news to Instagram reels of visitors. Though one of the most remarkable words came from Paola Montenegro herself, in a free translation: “This initiative shows us that tradition and innovation can not only coexist, but potentialize one another”.
